Group Travel Idea: Visit Jamaica’s Coyaba River Gardens and More

by Karen 1. November 2013

Are you hoping to add the Greater Antilles to your group’s travel list this year? If that’s the case, consider chartering a private plane with us and heading for Jamaica. It is home to the Coyaba River Gardens and the Mahoe Falls.

The gardens are located south of Ocho Rios and encompass three serene acres. While your group walks the grounds, listen for the sound of falling water and the resident wildlife. If you are very observant, you may even hear the snapping turtles try and catch a quick meal. Be sure to stop by the manmade pond with the built-in window too. It will give your group an opportunity to watch the island’s koi carp and mullet fish go about their natural business.

The Coyaba River Gardens is not the only attraction onsite. The area is also home to Mahoe Falls. It is 100 feet tall and visitors are welcome to explore it several ways. Adventurous sorts may want to climb it with the aid of a guide. Others may prefer viewing its splendor from above. The viewing area is known as Ysassi Lookout Point. On a clear, Jamaica day, it offers access to some of the most memorable views. Among them are the pristine Caribbean Sea, the gardens and Ocho Rios.

After touring the water gardens and the falls, there is still much to enjoy, including the Arawak Museum. It features a charming Spanish courtyard, snack bar, gift shop and multiple exhibits. The exhibits contain artifacts from the island’s Taino period. It refers to a moment in time when the island was inhabited by members of the Taino tribe. They were a very interesting group of people that knew how to make fairly advanced products like pepper gas and rubber balls.

Of course the above is just a glimpse of the group travel opportunities that exist in Jamaica. To learn more about chartering a private plane to experience them firsthand, please contact us at (877) 535-9624. We are a FAA certified charter airline with a fleet of luxurious aircraft at our disposal.

Charter a Private Aircraft to Haiti and Enjoy Natural Wonders

by Karen 20. September 2013

Situated in the Caribbean is the intriguing Republic of Haiti. It is a magnificent destination to visit any time of the year. Perhaps best of all, if you charter a private aircraft from us, you’ll be there in no time. Here’s a look at some of what the magical place has to offer nature lovers:

Pic Macaya National Park

The Pic Macaya National Park is one amazing place to visit in Haiti. It is considered by many to be the last pristine cloud forest in the world. In addition, it is home to rare wildlife and vegetation. Among them are a half dozen species of unusual frogs.

Grotte Marie-Jeanne

Another stunning, natural place to visit in Haiti is the Grotte Marie-Jeanne. It is a multi-level, large cave system that is located in Port-a-Piment. It is believed to have been used by humans on and off for centuries. Today, visitors can take guided tours of the cave system.

Bassins Bleu

If you are still feeling adventurous, a trip to Jacmel City may be in order. Once there, schedule a guided horseback riding or hiking excursion to Bassins Bleu. It is the location of three stunning waterfalls. They are known as Bassin Palmiste, Bassin Yes and Bassin Clair. We’d suggest taking a picnic lunch with you and enjoying the meal al fresco.

Ti Anchorage

Do you prefer your water views accompanied by pristine sand and scrumptious, incredibly fresh seafood? Well then, set your sights on Ti Anchorage. It is one of the more popular beaches located near Jacmel City. It is also a great place to go fishing for monstrous size tuna. When you are finished, be sure to visit one of the area’s restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Citadelle Henri Christophe

Instead of going fishing, would you rather mix history with stunning scenery? If so, try heading towards Cap-Haitien or Milot. Both are near an ancient, mountaintop fortress known as the Citadelle Henri Christophe. It is accessible by foot or horseback. The massive stone fortress still features the remnants of weaponry once used to protect the charming island. It offers stellar views of the surrounding mountains as well.

Catch the Leaves at their Peak

by Karen 5. September 2013

If your group is looking for the perfect fall getaway, think no further than the leaf peeping season in New England. When you charter a private jet to take you there, you don’t have to worry about finding enough airline seats to accommodate everyone, and you can choose which of the various smaller New England airports you would prefer to fly into, rather than battling the Boston or New York traffic.

A getaway to New England during leaf peeping season allows you to truly experience autumn at its finest. With clear blue skies, a crisp hint of frost in the air, and roadside stands overflowing with large orange pumpkins, crisp fresh apples in dozens of colors and sizes, and fresh-pressed apple cider, there will be plenty to tempt your taste buds and camera lens as well as your eyes. When you go with a group, you have the chance to share these experiences with each other, and have plenty of stories to relive when winter sets in.

While New England is best known for its foliage, upstate New York and Pennsylvania also have spectacular fall color displays. Imagine your group, relaxed in Adirondack chairs and sipping glasses of wine as you gaze across a valley painted in bright shades of yellow, gold, red and green. If you have the time, you might even hop in your jet from one state to another, following the changing colors south over the course of a couple of weeks, and giving yourselves a chance to relax in each destination and get to know the area.

When utilizing a private jet rather than commercial air service, you can also change your travel plans as needed, in case the weather does not change as forecasted, and the leaf season is delayed. So contact us today to plan your group’s fall itinerary.
