Formula One Fan Flights are Available through Miami Air International

by Karen 3. February 2014

At Miami Air International, we know how important Formula One races are to so many people. That’s why we’ve been helping groups schedule fan flights to Formula One races for years. As a matter of fact, in mid November 2013 we helped several groups reach a large Formula One race in Texas. With that said, why not take a look at the 2014 Formula One World Championship Race calendar and start making plans to charter fan flights in the coming weeks?

The first big race is slated to take place in early March 2014. The last important race is presently scheduled to kickoff in late November. Two of the domestic, Formula One race destinations currently on tap for the 2014 season are New Jersey and Texas. We can assist you and your group of Formula One racing fans in reaching both of those destinations in style. The New Jersey race is tentatively expected to take place over Memorial Day Weekend. Therefore, the sooner you book your charter fan flight and overnight accommodations the better.

With our Formula One fan flights, you’ll have your choice of a private Boeing 737-400 or a Boeing 737-800. The cabin configuration in either one can be customized to fit your racing fans’ needs. The first charter aircraft has a 5-hour/2,820 statute mile range and first-class seating for 68. The second private aircraft has a 6-hour flight range and accommodations for 168 race fans.

At your request, we can deck out the private airliner’s headrests, flight attendant aprons, cups and napkins with your Formula One fan club’s logo. In addition, we can customize our charter planes’ in-flight entertainment system too. For example, you could display a personal welcome message on the system’s screen to your entire group or show them a DVD featuring highlights from previous Formula One races. In-flight open bar service and customized menus are available as well.

Those are just a few options open to Formula One race fans looking to charter a flight in 2014. For more information on other fan flight options for private groups, please contact us at (877) 535-9624.

Reserve a Private Plane to St. Croix and Go Snorkeling

by Karen 4. October 2013

Has the impending winter weather got you and your group searching for a temperate place to enjoy a bit of underwater adventure? Well, you may want to contemplate reserving a private plane and setting your sights on snorkeling in St. Croix. Located just 1,100 miles southeast of Miami, it is home to some pretty incredible destinations.

Buck Island Reef

If you only have time for one snorkeling destination in St. Croix, make it Buck Island Reef. Located within the confines of Buck Island Reef National Park, it is only accessible during the day to select tour providers. So you’ll want to make reservations with one of them well in advance. You’ll also want to make sure that you bring shirts and shorts with you as there is a strictly enforced dress code at the Christiansted Waterfront. It is where many of the snorkeling tours start and end.

In all, there are 4,554 acres of pristine barrier reef at the park to explore. The water around the area known as the coral grottoes is crystal clear and 12 feet deep. As such, it’s suitable for snorkelers of varying abilities. There are also deeper dives available that are best accomplished with scuba gear.

More than 200 species of fish, several species of sea turtles, lizards, brown pelicans and other creatures call the island oasis home. One that you’ll definitely encounter during your dive is elkhorn coral. In some spots, their branches extend more than 5 feet into the water. You’re also apt to see gorgonians, star coral and assorted brain coral.

Salt River Bay National Historic Park & Ecological Preserve

Another snorkeling destination in St. Croix is the Salt River Bay National Historic Park & Ecological Preserve. Situated near Christiansted Harbor, it is home to a 350 foot deep submarine canyon. The canyon area is replete with deep water coral, caves and unique formations. For the best experience, consider scheduling a dive trip too. That way, you can fully explore the preserve’s never ending, underwater wonders.

Of course Buck Island and Salt River are not the only places to enjoy underwater adventures in St. Croix. Other spots to consider include the St, Croix East End Marine Park, Cane Bay, Butler Bay and the Frederiksted Pier.

Once you’ve decided on where you want to snorkel in St. Croix, contact us. We can help you reserve a private plane that will help get you there in impeccable style. Depending on your group’s needs, you can opt to partake of in-flight entertainment, custom catering and other signature services. To learn more, call (305) 876-3600 or fill in the contact form available on our Miami Air International website.

Book a Private Charter and Enjoy Belize’s Best Sports Spots

by Karen 27. September 2013

Are you looking for an exciting sports destination for your group that is reachable by a private charter aircraft? If so, you may want to point your compass in the direction of Belize. Located just a little over two hours from Miami, Florida, it is an incredibly beautiful, diverse and action-packed place.

Caving is just one of the many sports activities on offer in Belize. There are multiple caves to choose from. One of the more popular spots is the Actun Tunichil Muknal. The locals sometimes refer to it as ATM. What sets this Belize cave above the rest is its history, limestone formations and challenging terrain. In some areas, it is full of water. So be sure to bring the appropriate gear. Otherwise, your day of caving will be cut short.

Scuba Diving & Snorkeling

Speaking of which, in Belize there are amazing places to scuba dive and snorkel too. Take the Blue Hole for example. Home to an abundant amount of sharks, it is more than 400 feet deep and roughly 1,000 feet wide. Many adrenaline junkies brave its depths each year and live to tell the tale.

If the idea of swimming with sharks is a bit much for your group to handle, you may want to visit the 30 foot deep Hol Chan Marine Reserve instead. It is home to friendlier creatures like yellow fin grouper and coral. However, you may also run into a few barracuda. So be on the lookout for the toothy beasts.

Canoeing and Kayaking

Lasting, your sports-minded group may enjoy exploring the Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve. It offers opportunities to commune with sea turtles, Queen conch and a handful of more ferocious creatures. Among them are saltwater crocs, jaguars and pumas.

To experience these and other sports hot spots, contact us by calling (305) 876-3600 or (877) 535-9624. We’d be delighted to help your sports minded group book a private charter to the action packed shores of Belize.
